There is something very special about a ‘Live’ Recording.

There is an authenticity in each performance that always seems to disappear when you put performers (and especially singers) into a studio, and this phenomenon has never been so true as in this record. The actors and singers of broadway thrive on the roars, the sighs, the cries, the laughter and this is exactly what they got for the ‘Scott Alan Live’ session at Birdland. Combine this energised set of singer/actors with beautiful song writing and majestic arrangements, and you have a contemporary Musical Theatre masterpiece, a suite of work that acknowledges the old and embraces the new.

It was a magical experience for an Australian in New York and I am so excited to be able to relive it all over again.
